It's hard to believe it's been so long since I posted last. I feel like we have really settled in to 2012, and life has become routine. We are all doing well, Erik at work, me at babysitting, and Niko at life ;) We did have his 15m apt with the Doc this week, and like always Niko is doing great. The Stats:
Height: 2'10" (98%)
Weight: 27lbs 5oz (84%)
Head Circumference: 19" (89%)
We do have concerns that Niko hasn't really been saying to much, so we got a referral to a speech therapist and an ENT. But this week he's been way more "chatty" and has added "wawa" (water) and "nu" (nuk/pacifier) to his repertoire to make the grand total of "words" =4!!! (mama and dada are the other two) He has also gotten pretty good at a few more signs. He mastered "help" today which at first I was really excited about. But then he started asking me to "help" him do things I don't want him to do, like open drawers, and get on the counter. Oh the quandary! I don't want to say no for fear that he will not understand why since he made the correct sign, and I don't want to say yes because obviously it's not a behavior I want to encourage. The joys of parenting ;)
We had a fantastic weekend. Erik brewed another beer (and posted some pics on facebook) and we won our Coed soccer game (check out my stats from my women's league), even after being tired and fatigued from our Saturday hill run.
This week Erik and I are celebrating Valentine's day a bit early. We got reservations to this restaurant 2 1/2 months ago. It's called The Kitchen and we are really excited!!!
