Jason Statham! He has been in many of my favorite action movies starting with Guy Richie's Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, and Snatch, then moving on to , Italian Job, and Transporter 1, 2, & 3. So why Jason? He is definitely easy on the eyes and the characters he tends to play are strong, controlled, and live by a "code". But it is the fact that he is Hollywood's go to guy for excellent car chase movies, that puts him over the top in my book.
While it was Italian Job that made me fall in love with the mini cooper, it is the Transporter movies that make me wish I was a professional driver. The driving and stunts they pull off are heart stopping. Some Transporter car trivia for you.... Thank you IMCarsDb
Transporter 1- The car is a BMW 750i E38 (pre-facelift). The car in the movie is the only one ever produced with a manual six-speed gearbox.
Transporter 2- The car is an Audi A8L W12, but he also does a chase in a Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster.
Transporter 3- All the car stunts were performed in real time, without models and little to no CGI. The car is an Audi A8 a with a 6.0 liter W12 engine. The engine is derived from the Bentley Continental GT. The W12 engine was made by Volkswagen.
