A little known fact about me is my love for driving. Ever since I was little I imagined driving. I drew pictures of cars, and planned cross country road trips. My dad boasts of my back seat driving from a young age and has since named his GPS system "Mary."
Driving manual transmission cars is my favorite!!! I love how they zip around and give the driver so much more control of speed. Love it! Ever since seeing the movie Italian Job, I have had a dream to drive a manual transmission Mini Cooper. So much so that Erik even tried to rent me one to drive for my Birthday a few years ago, but it didn't end up working out.
This weekend, my dream came true. A good friend of ours from Med School just bought a beautiful brand new Mini Cooper! He's only put 700 miles on it, doesn't even have his plates yet and he let me drive it! I can't even tell you how thrilled I was! I didn't go far, but got to zip, zip, zip around and it was amazing.
