Yay for DVR!

Every Thursday night during the summer is the same... we watch the results show for my favorite summer reality TV show: So You Think You Can Dance. Last night was the most important Thursday night of the summer, because it was the episode where the final dancer would be named "America's Favorite Dancer." Big stuff!

So I thought our night was all planned out. But when Erik came home from work everything changed. We decided on an impromptu date night instead. We packet up some blankets, and pillows and headed out to Davis, CA to watch a meteor shower. Once we had our snacks and supplies, found a spot to pull off on the side of the road, and doused ourselves in bug spray we hunkered down in the bed of the truck and watched the night sky.

It was beautiful. The sky gradually turned from gold to light blue to deep navy with the stars getting brighter every minute. We talked and then would be silent, we listened to the frogs and crickets chirping and sure enough saw 5 meteors each. It was beautiful... all on a random Thursday night.
So who won So You Think You Can Dance? I still don't know... and that is ok.
