It's been a while

So long since I've blogged.... Biggest news, Niko is almost 10 months old! I am starting to get excited about his 1st birthday. You might think I am getting excited a little early, but I saw fall decorations in Rite Aid 2 weeks ago, and SaveMart just stocked their Halloween Stationary, so I feel justified ;) We went to the Dr. on Monday for a check up and here are his stats.

Height- 2' 6" (88%)

Weight- 22lbs 8oz. (72%)

Head Circumference 47cm (86%)

Still giant, but not as giant as before. He has 8 teeth and just got his first Elmo toothbrush (which he chews on like crazy) He is running around the house, yard and park holding on to our fingers. I don't think it will be long before he's walking on his own.

I have joined the "Babywise" revolution of the early 90's. (I know... a little behind the times) I literally read the book in two days and even re-read the important details many times. It's all about getting your baby to sleep through the night. I am way late on that too. Niko has been taking 3 half hour naps a day and still gets up 3 times a night. Blurg! But I implemented changes yesterday and he took two one hour naps today and he his no longer dependent on nursing to go to sleep. YAY!!! Major victory for mom!! Hopefully his sleeping will keep getting better and better.

And while I am still at home this school year I know that many of you have been awaiting my declaration of "Best Back to School Commercial!" (click here to see my favorite one of all time ) Drum Roll... Hands down the Target Ads! That is how I feel! If only they had a science teacher one. I saw this one first, but have enjoyed the music and gym teacher ones as well. Enjoy!
