Mommy's 1st Mother's Day

I have always enjoyed celebrating Mother's Day from the perspective of a daughter. It is great to have a day to reflect on all that my mom has done for me; how she is a shining example of what a mother should be, how she lavishes me and my whole family with love, and how she is so generous with her time to visit and help out. Thanks mom!

But this being my first Mother's Day as a mom, took me by surprise. I was able to take some time yesterday when Niko and I were by ourselves to reflect on him and how he has changed my life. Just 6 months ago he was so little, and I barely knew him at all. Now he is such a little person and I feel like we have a great relationship. He has so richly blessed my life. He is amazing and I am so privileged to get to be his mom. Wow.
