Introducing Nikolaus Eli-
It is hard to believe it has already been one week since he was born. What a whirl wind!
the stats:
Born: October 29th at 2:44pm
Weight: 8lbs 2oz.
Height: 21 inches
Shoe size: huge ;)

the story:
Last Thursday I had an apt with my OB, and she checked the amount of amniotic fluid, and determined it was low. After further testing at the hospital, it was decided that it was time to induce! We were so excited. It seemed surreal that we were going to have a baby! After the induction was started I labored for 17 hours without progress, it was time to get this baby out, so we decided a C-section would be best. An hour later Nikolaus was here.
I think his might have been the most well documented birth ever. Here are more pictures and some videos. Enjoy.

Congrats Mary and Erik! He is a handsome little man...our boys are exactly one week apart!! (pics on Facebook...I'll work on my blog later)
